What does this mean? Registered Piano Technician is a title of honor. Not every piano tuner in the PTG (Piano Technician's Guild) is a Registered Piano Technician. Patsi is a Registered Piano Technician, Craftsman level, and has been since 1976. She has apprenticed with several highly experienced RPTs and continues to learn even as she excels at her craft.

Patsi is a registered Dampp-Chaser Field Expert. Dampp-Chaser is the leading brand of dehumidifying systems for pianos. These systems are particularly beneficial in Florida, where the humid weather makes it difficult to keep an instrument in tune.

Patsi is a distinguished alumnus of Yamaha's Little Red Schoolhouse, a training program for piano technicians.

Patsi completed the Master's program at the William Steinway University, part of the Steinway & Sons training regimen, in 2005. This took place at the Steinway piano factory in Long Island, NY.

Patsi has an Associate of Arts degree in Music Education from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio), earned in 1973.
